Case Study 03 - Multi-Mode Hybrid Drive Platform

The following are reference platform configurations from our technology partner ecosystem, illustrating mature architectures for different applications.

Multi-mode hybrid drive platforms combine engine power, generator/motor functions and traction motor drive through an integrated transmission and clutch-based architecture, enabling flexible operating modes for bus and coach applications.

This architecture supports intelligent coordination between engine and electric drive systems, helping improve fuel efficiency, drivability and operating flexibility while maintaining the range and reliability required for public transport and coach applications.

The following examples are provided as reference platform configurations and do not represent fixed product catalogues or Synwyn-owned products.

Representative Platform Resources

Selected representative platform resources covering different vehicle classes, duty cycles and operating requirements.

Final system selection and configuration will be defined based on customer application requirements, duty cycle, performance targets, interface constraints, compliance needs and supplier suitability.

Applications

  • 10.5m City Buses
  • 10.5–12m City Buses
  • 18m Articulated Buses
  • Large Bus Applications
